I.B. History of the Americas:

1) Hand out PCC handbooks. Students do the registration to become a PCC student as soon as possible (unless you already have done this for another class). Use pages 5-10 in the handbook. We will register for the actual PCC classes as a class in the computer lab next week.  You must have your PCC ID# by then.
2) Notes ("The Jacksonian Presidency")
3) Video: "Andrew Jackson: Good, Evil, and the Presidency" (Day 1)
--Take section notes: a) The Slave Master  b) The Candidate  c) The First Imperial Presidency  d) The Defender of the Union  e) The Great White Father  f) The Prophet

4) Homework: Textbook, pages 330-335; 338 ("Class, Culture, and the 2nd Party System") and ("Tippecanoe and Tyler, Too!")
Focus your reading on:  a) Second Party System (Democrats vs. Whigs)  b) Panic of 1837  c) Election of 1840/William Henry Harrison  d) John Tyler's presidency


American Pop Culture (A day):

1) 1960s Oral History assignment reminder (due on Wednesday, 3/16).

2) 1960s TV (Day 3) ("Adam-12") and ("Room 222")
