2) 6 groups: Historiography on the Causes of the Civil War (Google Classroom)
--Follow directions for secondary sources on your OPVL Guidelines sheet
--Split research and work evenly and create shared document
--You need to include the historian's viewpoint on the causes, along with background info/praise/criticism about the historians from a value and limitations standpoint.

3) Homework: Pre-Civil War Reader, pages 145-153 ("The Crime Against Kansas")-Part 1
Focus your reading on:  a) "Bleeding Kansas"  b) John Brown  c) "The Caning of Sumner" (Charles Sumner)
