Focus Terms: a) "War of attrition"/George Washington b) Battle of Trenton/Battle of Princeton c) Battle of Saratoga/General John Burgoyne d) Valley Forge e) Baron von Steuben f) Funding the Continental Army
3) Go over Test 1 essay questions:
a) Compare the effects of slavery on England, the West Indies, Africa, and the American colonies.
b) Discuss at least three developments between 1778 and 1781 that were instrumental in securing America's victory in the Revolutionary War.
4) Remaining class time: Study/prepare for test (make essay outline/study Focus Terms)
5) No reading homework, but there will be one more set of notes next class.
6) Test 1 rescheduled for Monday, October 15 for 1st and 3rd periods and Tuesday, October 16 for 5th, 7th, and 8th periods. Preparing outlines of the essay questions for feedback from Mr. Unis and studying Focus Term notes from your flashcards and the lecture notes is the best preparation technique.
